The Blackburn offers complimentary free self-parking adjacent to the hotel with access from the first floor portico. Additional parking for events and large vehicles is available across the street from the Conference Center and Spa.

Yes, we are pleased to offer OpenKey: a seamless and secure contactless check-in experience for our guests. This service allows you to check in online prior to your arrival, access your room key through your mobile device, and proceed directly to your room without the need for traditional front desk interaction. Should you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, our staff is readily available to help.

The Blackburn is steps away from downtown with most restaurants and attractions within a 5 minute walk.
For the safety of our guests, all exterior doors are locked after 11 p.m., but the portico door on the north end of the building can be opened using your room key. If you have trouble accessing the building, please contact the front desk.
Yes, art from the Co-Art gallery on the third floor of the hotel is available to purchase. Visit the front desk for assistance.
Yes, The Second Draft Bistro is located on the hotels’ south end of the second floor. Breakfast is available 7 days a week and dinner is served Friday and Saturday. Visit the Eat page for current hours and menus.
Yes, quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. daily.

Yes, The Market is located behind the front desk. Guests can enjoy a taste of the valley ranging from The Blackburn custom Redwood candle to our signature blend of coffee from Crucible Coffee Roasters. The Market also offers a variety of snacks and drinks for guests to enjoy.
A valid ID and credit card are required at check-in. If you booked a specific rate, such as the military rate, the front desk will request proof of eligibility.

Activities
The Spa at The Blackburn is open to anyone over 17 years old Thursday-Monday from 10am-6pm offering a variety of services including facials, nails, massages, and reflexology. For more information, visit the relax page.
There is a fitness center in The Lofts, a building on site, which The Blackburn guests are permitted to use. Visit the front desk for additional information and access.
Unfortunately, there is no pool on site.
The Shenandoah Valley is home to beautiful vineyards, hiking, award winning restaurants, museums, and unique shops. Recommendations are available through the front desk or by visiting the Visit Staunton Website.
All guests are encouraged to visit the art gallery, front lawn, and cupola.
The art gallery is located on the third floor and showcases local artists from the area. To purchase the art, see the front desk.
The front lawn is home to the willows, gazebo, and fountains all original to the property. Take a walk through the lawn or have a picnic by the creek.
The showstopper on site is the cupola. Accessed on the fourth floor, the cupola is at the top of our picturesque spiral staircase and portrays the best view of all of Staunton.
The Blackburn is still in the process of restoring the historic property. For the safety of guests, The Blackburn asks you to enjoy the unrenovated buildings from a distance and respect the privacy of the residences in The Bindery, Lofts, Brookdale and West Village. Refer to the property map for more details.
Guests of The Blackburn are welcome to take pictures of the property however all others are required to submit a photography request form which includes a fee. For additional information please see the photography policy.

The Blackburn offers ADA compliant rooms featuring roll-in showers with support bars and queen beds at an accessible height.
The Blackburn does not offer connecting rooms, but can accommodate guests by placing them in rooms near each other.
Yes, room-service is offered during The Second Draft Bistro’s hours. To place an order, contact the restaurant by dialing extension 806. Menus are available on the Eat page.
The Blackburn offers cribs and rollaway beds upon request. Contact the front desk for more information.
All guest rooms are smoke free. There is a designated smoking area on the hotel’s front porch, “The Cigar Lounge”. There is also a smoking area along the walkway between the hotel parking lot and the first floor entrance to the hotel. Marijuana is not permitted on site.
The Blackburn offers a flexible 24-hour cancellation policy.

Events
The newly renovated Conference Center at The Blackburn features two reception spaces for a total of 6,000 sq.ft. Since opening in 2020, The Conference Center has hosted a number of weddings, corporate retreats, non-profit events, and networking events.
