Onsite Photography & Videography Policy
While The Blackburn Inn and The Villages of Staunton welcomes visitors to enjoy our unique and historic surroundings, the privacy and tranquility of the location for its guests and residents is its primary responsibility.
The Blackburn Inn and The Villages at Staunton is private property and maintains a strict policy against the use of its grounds (all interior spaces, exterior grounds, etc.) for unauthorized personal, professional, or commercial photography/videography purposes.
The property does NOT allow any area of its hotel property (all indoor and outdoor grounds) to be used for NON-guest/resident personal or professional photography or videography purposes, including but not limited to Wedding, Engagement, Class, Family and Individual Portraits, Advertising Photography, and Model/Fashion Shoots, etc.
Hotel and Resident Guests may shoot non-commercial photography or video for their personal use (no professional equipment, lighting, etc.) in their room or on property with respect for the privacy and tranquility of other guests on property. Unauthorized person(s) and/or professional photographers are subject to immediate expulsion from the property.
Non-guest/resident Personal or Professional photography/videography will only be allowed and authorized by appointment only and adhering to the guidelines and fees outlined in the Hotels Onsite Photography & Videography Policy.
- No photo/film location requests or activities will be approved which disrupt the normal activities of the hotel and residences.
- All photography requests will be reviewed and approved based on occupancy, availability, and content, with the appropriate fee schedule outlined below. * If you are a wedding company, special restrictions may apply.
- All photography/filming must be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine fee schedule.
- One area of preference will be granted per photoshoot. This area and time will need to be confirmed with the operations teams before finalizing the photoshoot. It is understood this area is permitted but is not a guarantee for the exclusive use of the space. *For inquiries on exclusive use, please contact our Marketing Department directly. The area will not be blocked off for use of the requester, and must not be disruptive for other hotel guests.
- Areas are limited to the front lawn(s) and the hotel premises only. The private residences are for residents only.
- No major set construction or alteration of buildings will be permitted. Any set decoration must be clearly specified in writing and all areas occupied in connection with the filming must be returned to their normal condition.
- Non-guest/resident Photoshoot Fee - $150 for one hour period per area of preference
